My Story

UK-IMG is the culmination of my interest in helping doctors working in the NHS realise their full potential. As someone who spent a large proportion of my childhood abroad, I have a deep understanding of the issues and challenges facing IMGs wishing to work in the NHS.

I am a post CCT surgeon and have worked full time in the NHS for close to 15 years. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Oxford and successfully obtained placements in an Academic Foundation Programme and a run-through training programme at first attempt. I ranked second for Radiology training and in the top 25 for Core Surgical Training on a national basis. I subsequently applied for and completed a post CCT fellowship at a central London teaching hospital and have been appointed to a substantive Consultant post. 

I have completed a PhD and hold two Masters degrees from the Universities of Manchester & Edinburgh. 

I have extensive experience in teaching and assessment, having taught medical students and junior doctors. I am a PLAB examiner and have also examined medical school OSCEs.

Unlike other services, each application will be reviewed by me personally - there is no outsourcing to less experienced team members. This ensures you are receiving the best advice I can offer.
